Aiming High and Caring for Everyone.

Enabling children to flourish and succeed

Welcome

‘A place to belong’

Welcome to the website of Christ Church & St Peter’s C of E Primary school, also known as Mountsorrel school.

We extend the warmest of welcomes to our pupils, parents and potentially new families and to our community members.

Our school is a large primary school, in the heart of the fantastic village of Mountsorrel.  We play an active role in the village, working closely with our community partners and are proud to serve our community.

We strive to provide the very best education and opportunities for our young people.  We live our vision of,

‘Aiming high, caring for everyone’.

We have high expectations of all of our children and are ambitious about what they can learn and achieve.  We value the trust our families put in us, to educate and care for their children.

We are a truly inclusive school and believe all children should be able to access a high quality education.  We have an Inclusion Team that can support young people and their families and remove or reduce any barriers to learning.  We are also very proud of our Nest: a specialist setting for young people with an Education Health Care plan for Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

We are a busy school with lots going on.  Our children are happy, polite and caring.  We offer a broad curriculum and work hard to provide a range of opportunities for children to do and try new things.  We believe our curriculum is ‘everything we do in school’ and all of our decisions are underpinned by our drivers: showing children what is possible, their possibilities, encouraging them to use and have initiative, helping them to understand and have healthy lifestyles, developing and promoting respect of others. As well as our ambition lead drivers, our Christian values are at the heart of everything we do.

Our website is designed to hold all of the information you might need as a child, parent/carer, visitor or member of the community.  We hope you enjoy our website and find everything that you need.

If you are a prospective parent or if you require any further information, please telephone the school office and arrange to come for a visit or to speak to someone that can help - you are warmly encouraged!
