Residential Trips
Learning away from school and home can help your child grow in confidence, develop independence and improve learning across the curriculum.
Leadership skills naturally emerge in a residential environment - often in those that we may least expect it from. These types of experiences move pupils out of their perceived comfort zones and facilitate a new learning and social environment.
For many pupils, such a trip could be their first time staying away from home. The sense of independence and adventure generated can spark excitement and self-belief in even the most timid, developing their resilience and self-confidence.
We encourage all of our children to take part in residential trips and offer these from Year 2.
Year 2 - a sleepover at school with forest school activities and a movie night!
Year 4 - two nights sleepover at a destination up to an hour away.
Year 6 - a three night adventurous activity sleepover further afield.
