Our Vision and Values
At Christ Church & St Peter’s Church of England Primary School in Mountsorrel, our vision is clear and consistent:
“Aim high, care for everyone.”
This vision reflects our deep commitment to providing a high-quality, inclusive education where every child is supported to thrive. We believe in nurturing each child’s potential while ensuring they feel seen, heard, valued, and cared for—whatever their background, ability, or beliefs.
Together, we are creating “a place to belong” for all children, staff, and families.
Rooted in Christian Values and Teaching
As a proud Church of England primary school, our vision is inspired by the biblical story of ‘The Feeding of the Five Thousand’ (Matthew 14:13–21). This story reminds us of the power of compassion, community, and sharing what we have to meet the needs of others. These themes shape the way we teach, care for one another, and build a sense of belonging across the school.
Our Core Christian Values
We focus on six Christian values, each explored in depth throughout the school year:
Love
Respect
Perseverance
Hope
Forgiveness
Service
These values are more than just words; they are lived out daily in the way we learn, behave, and treat others. They help us to build a caring, supportive school environment and to prepare our children to become thoughtful, respectful citizens of the wider world.
A Supportive and Equal Community
At Christ Church & St Peter’s, every child matters. We value all our pupils equally and are committed to helping them succeed academically, emotionally, and socially. Our inclusive approach ensures that all children—regardless of their starting points—are given the support and encouragement they need to achieve their full potential.
