Aiming High and Caring for Everyone.

Enabling children to flourish and succeed

Nest Staff

Mr Furlong - SEMH Lead Teacher

I am passionate about getting outside to learn and play. In my personal life, I love to be outside and active as much as possible: mountain hiking, countryside walking and football playing. I bring this into school where being outside is important for all of our health and well-being.

It is important to me to tailor learning and development to suit the individual needs of the children in the Nest. I am proud of our nurturing and flexible approach in the Nest. I understand that we don't all learn in the same way.

Mrs Parkes – Senior Learning Mentor

I have been at Christ church & Peter’s primary school for 20 years in different roles. My experience has led me to work alongside children who need extra support in their emotional wellbeing and educational needs. I thrive on helping children make progress in many areas of their social, emotional and behavioural development and daily lives in school. I enjoy living a healthy lifestyle and keep myself active: I surf, run, and lift weights.

Mr Eadie – Learning Support Assistant

I pride myself on being able to build strong, positive relationships with young people as well as modelling those positive behaviours to them. I love getting us outside: playing sports and taking part in active learning.

Outside of school, I am passionate about swimming which is something that I still compete in and race. I also coach at my swimming club. I enjoy a healthy lifestyle including playing golf and going to the gym. At home, I like to keep my mind active with Lego and jigsaw puzzles.

Lois – Learning Mentor

Before working in the Nest, I worked in a range of childcare settings, with a range of age groups (0-18) and abilities for many years. This has given me the knowledge and experience to engage with children from all backgrounds and abilities. I am passionate about working with children with SEN and SEMH needs as I feel like I can connect with them through my own life, work experiences and training. I feel I can tap into their way of learning to achieve the best outcome for their well-being and academic progress.

I am a very active person and enjoy many different sports and physical activities such as basketball, boxing and hiking. Although I don't play competitively anymore I enjoy playing with family and friends. My family and friends are very important to me and we enjoy spending quality time together.
